(Click to Break the Screen)

We live in a world of constant scrolling. Between lectures, deadlines, and late nights,
our screens fill every quiet moment. This installation invites you to pause, step into
this space and reflect on your connection with the physical world.
Here, we explore the subtle disconnection that unfolds as a young woman
becomes increasingly absorbed in the digital world.
Combining film, spatial storytelling, and interactive stations,
the work invites visitors to navigate the installation in their own sequence.
Within this bedroom, there are multiple belongings, but its owner is nowhere to be found. Instead, you may notice a flickering cluster of screens. Go closer, take a look- you will find your answers there.
Connection
The Connection station is designed to create an intentional space for meaningful human interaction. Set in the environment of a cozy bed, it invites participants to step away from their devices and engage in face-to-face conversation using guided prompt cards. This station aims to counteract the passive and distracted nature of digital communication with the reminder to be fully present with others in a shared moment.

Reflection
The Reflection station provides a quiet, personal space for individuals to turn inward and engage with their thoughts and emotions through writing. Using a shared diary, we aim to create an outlet for participants that allows for honest self-expression without fear of judgment, encouraging introspection in an environment free from digital distractions and social pressures.

Grounding
The Grounding station combines lighthearted play with moments of reflection to help participants reconnect with the present moment. Centered around a Jenga game, we aim to cultivate a balanced opportunity for fun bonding and connection with the occasional reminders for emotional grounding and mindfulness.

Attention
The Attention station invites participants to slow down and ground themselves through attention to their physical surroundings and senses. Through prompts that encourage them to create their own art, this segment hopes to help participants notice of the world around them, drawing attention to overlooked elements of everyday life.
